Golf Course Update – Spring Progress and Course Etiquette

Dear Members and Guests,

As we continue our work to improve course conditions this season, we’d like to share a few important updates and reminders to help ensure an enjoyable experience for all.

Course Etiquette Reminders

● Please keep carts out of native grass areas, even if they appear mowed. These areas are delicate and play an important role in the course’s ecosystem and aesthetics.
● Players are to abide by all ropes and cart signs
● Players are reminded to demonstrate proper golf etiquette, including raking bunkers after use and repairing divots. It has been observed that respect for fellow players and course maintenance practices has been lacking. Furthermore, we request that golfers treat golf carts with due care and avoid reckless
operation. Excessive wear and tear on our new carts has become a
concern.

Hole 1 Green Progress

The opening of Hole 1 green will be delayed beyond Memorial Day. Cooler temperatures have slowed seed germination and turf fill-in.
● The green is currently over 95% germinated, and we’ve begun lowering the height of cut, now at .190&quot, and working gradually toward our target height of .150" for playable conditions.
● The approach and fairway areas also need more time to fill in properly.
● Horsetail weed is becoming less and less of an issue as we lower heights

● We continue to fertilize, water, and topdress the green with an 80/20 sand mix, helping to retain moisture during windy days and improve root development.

Bunker Work

● Bunker renovations are ongoing on holes 8, 14, and 16.

● Please be aware of our team when they’re working—your patience is greatly appreciated as we continue these projects.

● We intend to get tees and fairways solid tined this month

On behalf of all those who work so hard to make this course what it is today, thank you for keeping up to date with our agronomy and course layout development.
